How many other states can you ski across?

Hello Vermonters,

I love what you have done with your trail. I read an article about it last fall and immediately started thinking about all the other states you might be able to ski across.

I set out in my own state of Oregon and was able to use an existing snow mobile trail network to skate ski about 2/3 of the way across the state. Details here.

My question for readers of this board is, what other states could you ski across? Are there other trails like the Catamount out there? Should there be? Or if not across an entire state, what other fun long distance ski trails are out there?

It's fun to think of the option for skiing across entire states hut-to-hut style. And also races that go the whole length could be great. Let the ski ultra begin!
