looking for a place to stay on jan 4th for tele clinic

hello, happy new year!
can anyone recommend a place to stay on jan 4th. I am going to attend the tele clinic at Pico Peak on sat and will come up on fri eve. thank you, Daniel G.

Hello Daniel! A good bet for an "affordable" motel room is in Rutland. I know of AT through-hikers who have stayed at the EconoLodge there, and it's been fine. Also there's the Inn at Long Trail (on route 4 in Killington) where they might have a hiker-dorm kind of situation. There might be some other ski-dorm situation in the area but I'm not aware of it!

Hopefully this forum will be become populated to the extent where a group of skiers can get together to arrange lodging - thanks for getting this started!

Have a great time at the tele clinic, it should be wonderful.

thanks for the reply Lynn,
looking forward to making a number of trips up to ski the trail this season. hopefuly I can find a place to rest before setting out on the trail. the drive from nj is 4hrs and would be nice to come up the eve. before and be rested.
