Week Tour: Day 2, Sect 26.
Route 15 - > Eden Mountain Road 11.5 miles.
We woke up to dismal rain, put on full raingear and resolved to go skiing anyway. Surprisingly, the clouds lifted by the time we started skiing and we had a full day of decent weather, although warm.
Photos are:
1. A not very encouraging icy & wet launch from our lodging in Lowell.
2. Dean's pack cover insured dry gear.
3. Relaxing in the sun. Most were complaining that they hadn't packed sunglasses.
4. Scilla & Jerry admire a snowed-in fire truck before skiing down the ice and slush on Jones Lane in Wolcott.
5. The noted "telemark hill" at about mile 3, just off West Hill Road. Kinda slow in the slop.
Two more pictures are in the next post...
