Anyone up for a few days of adventure in northern VT, Wed - Thu - Fri, Dec. 26, 27, 28?
Some friends from Idaho are coming to town and have reserved the GMC Beaver Dam camp in Barton, VT near the Long Trail & I'd like to fill the adjacent one, Hadsel/Mares (sleeps 8), which I've reserved for Wed & Thurs. nights, Dec. 26-27. The camp is very rustic. No electricity, no gas, no water, but it does have a shared outhouse, where you can meet your neighbors from the other camp to share stories. It is heated with a wood stove (wood provided). We have to bring our sleeping pads, sleeping bags, food, water, dishes, lights, stove, and TP. The camp sleeps 8 (6 downstairs, 2 in the loft). Dogs are allowed. We can drive to within 500’ of the camp. There is hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing right out the door.
Please let me know by the end of next week if you're interested in committing - $45/pp/night, GMC members $30/pp. I have 2 definites and 2 maybes at the moment.
