section 13 route 4 to Mountain Top

I am hoping to try this on March 15th, but wondered if regular old x-skiis will work. I see there are some areas that suggest skins.........Can someone that has done this section let me know if it's possible to do it with skinny x-skiis. Thanks.

Hello Donna, I think you'll be fine on standard nordic equipment. There's nothing too extreme on this section given you're an experienced skier. You might have to fight your way up the first climb north of route 4, but it's not that long. Let us know how it goes! I'm particularly interested in how much snow there is over there. Lynn
