Question Ski Conditions - Sections 4 & 5?

Does anyone know whether Sections 4 & 5 are skiable? Am planning on skiing there on Sunday, but don't want to make the drive & find no snow.

Thanks.

Default Plenty of snow on Sec 4&5

There will be plenty of snow, but it may not be very skiable. We're just S of the VT border, we have 8" of sleet with a very firm crust. The snowmobiles are barely breaking it. Up in Woodstock they have 3' of snow under a hard crust. There is a glaze of ice on the trees at about 1000' around here. But sometimes the Kelley Stand area is much snowier than the surroundings. The snowmobile trails should be fine, and the unbroken stuff may be skiable, but it will be noisy at the very least, and you might have a shin-high breakable crust. Hope you can get a more accurate report from someone who's been there.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. If I don't get any better info by Sunday, I probably will push it off for a week.

Thanks again,

Tzvi
