Somerset Reservoir 3/30/08

Skied East side of Somerset Reservoir North until almost reaching Grout Pond loop on March 30. About 3 feet of great snow. Weekend pics at Picasa Web Albums - Ralph. One large (15" dia.) tree down on trail and some large branches, easy ski arounds. Sometimes the worst snow was on the trail. Trail seemed to hold the water and be a trough.

Note to Asso. If additional trail workers are needed for fall trail maintenance finding people that can provide overnight lodging to out of towners could generate a bigger turnout. There are some souterners that would do trail work, if they had a place to stay overnight.

Thanks for your helpful comments. We will be canvassing the membership later this spring to line up housing for fall trail work days. By the time we announce the fall trail work day schedule we should have a list of housig opportunities as well.
